Latest News:
Well it's under 3 weeks away and interest continues to mount. Not a lot has changed as far as planning goes, but here are a few significant notes.
Parking: Parking will be at a premium. You can park in front of the Cottonwood shelter and across the street in the soccer field parking lot. Our "overflow" parking will be down by the ticket booth to the right. That will be a small hike away so you may want to drop off the guests, food, and chairs before you park. There are one or two spots directly in front of the shelter that we'll keep for handicapped guests.
Can I come early? Committee members will be setting up during the morning hours. You are certainly welcome to join us earlier than 12:00 noon if you like. The food line will start at 1:00 pm.
Guest book: Please, please be sure to sign the guest book before you leave.
Plant tour: At 4:00 pm tours will start at Crown for those interested in seeing the old place. A lot has changed and I think you may find it interesting. The tour will be a guided tour and will last from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your interest level. Tours will end at 5:00 PM. Park on the east side of the plant, in the parking lot directly across from the cafeteria entrance. This door is marked with a big blue round Crown logo sign. Gather on the terrace if the weather is ok, or inside the cafeteria if it's hot or raining. Wait for a tour guide please, do not go wandering about on your own.
Remember, there won't be another for several years so try to make this one.
